Okay everyone I would like to say my two cents. I would like recognize @Raindragon and their statement. @Raindragon believes that there is a culturally dark history associated with the word "wholesome". This person chose a particularly unattractive way of expressing their distaste for the word and everybody is getting defensive and irritated. But how about we just believe her. It's very possible as an older person who has been around in a time where we have no experience that maybe she's telling the truth and their is some rather nasty history here.

I'm giving the benefit of the doubt but I would also like to say that it's wrong to lash out at people without respecting them or even appropriately defending your arguments.

So far @Raindragon's argument for not using the word is that it has a dark history and she simply doesn't like it. But that's not enough reason to illogically and rudely tell someone they're using the word incorrectly when they weren't. @Raindragon was in the wrong for her behavior. You just can't tell people what to do. A better approach might be to explain the history of the word "wholesome" and just ask people not to use it.

@zetsuru was correct in reacting in a way that made it clear that @raindragon was being rude. @Idishi6 was also correct in using the word "wholesome" in this scenario. @Raindragon is s probably correct in the fact that there is most likely some history of the word wholesome being used in an unfavorable manner. @imapotatoe was correct in being offended at Raindragons manner. @PranceronCloudz made a great comment at the beginning of this thread which everybody completely ignored but I standby it.

Everybody is correct to some degree. I think that we could learn from @Raindragon's perception of the word but continue to move on with our lives. Afterall, language evolves and is constantly redifined by each generation. I choose to look at this word in a positive light. I'm going to carry it with me positively into the future and pass on positive connotations to the next generation. @Raindragon I challenge you to be the change you would like to see and let go of your old feelings. Lets wash this word and make it clean.

First of all @raindragon is a he, not that I really care. you can call me she if you like. Second, I'm fine with you using that stupid, crusty word as long as you use it correctly. Third, by what authority is someone with a stupid name like cloud prancer standing up in a pulpit, passing judgement on all of us shabby peasants down here on the ground? Fourth, I don't see how you're really going to go forward carrying this word forth to all mankind while strewing petals in your own path, or maybe walking down main street with a bull horn, when the word has such limited use. Fifth, If you use it incorrectly, I'm going to be on your ass, making a fool outa you, so beware, you skanky slag heap. LOL Sixth, the word is already squeaky clean. You can't get it any cleaner. Pay attention. We've been over this. Seventh, people like you don't know how to use the language correctly, so you make shit up and use the excuse that the language is always changing. It's horseshit.
I saw your cloudy-ass comment that bent over backwards to justify idishi's use of the word in a dialogue about sex. Make the same comment during sunday dinner when great grandma is present.
Anyone, anywhere, any time can tell people what to do. It's covered under the first amendment, so stop calling me old, and stop telling what I can and can't do.
