so , despite the fact the one of the best yaoi mangas that I ever read ( kiraide isasete ) being an omegaverse story , I really hate omegaverse .
yes , i've read some of yaoi mangas with omegaverse which were really good , but most of them were bad , really bad .
first of all , i like the main idea of omegaverse , about males being able to have children and family . I also like the idea of the fated pair/soulmates but everything else is a disaster .
for example , the " alphas are the clever , strong , handsome , perfect ones who're always in the top while the omegas are just some shit meant to have sex with so it's ok if they get raped " thing .
it's exactly the same when you say women are there just for the men to have sex with them and the woman's only job in the life is to please men and obey them . it's irritating right ?
just because they may seem smaller than alphas doesn't mean that they don't have any rights as humans . ( oh gosh , i'm starting to get angry )
also the " alphas are perfect " idea really really annoys me . I get it that the seme usually is this perfect guy ( which I dislike ) but being the top in everything just because you were born as an alpha ? the only thing I can say about it is that it's ridiculous and silly .
i'm sorry for the people who like omegaverse but please know that I tried so much to force myself to try understanding it , but I swear to god I couldn't .
and while we're at the point , I can't really understand why it's shown that it's hard for omegas to have a work or even get walk in the streets without getting raped . I mean , why ? just why ? does a romance story need something like that ? why do I have to see the uke living a miserable and pitiful ? to pity him ? no ? then why ?
and don't get me wrong , there were stories which actually did great in using this idea .
" Youchina Koi O Dou Shiyou " one of the few omegaverse that I liked so much used this idea perfectly when showed the uke living a very lonely life where he was always hated and being used because he's an omega , and when the seme appeared he became very precious for the uke and that's because the seme didn't accept him because he didn't find a need to do so 'cause he saw him and treated him as a normal fucking human being in this fucking earth !
another thing I want to talk about is the pheromones .
ok , I like the idea of pheromones and I don't mind it but everything must have it's limits . somehow i'm beginning to feel that the characters are turning into animals who their only romance is sex . if I had sex with someone then I naturally fall in love with him . no dear , that's not how life works .
the last thing I want to talk about is pregnancy . as I said befor , the most thing I liked about omegaverse was the idea of males being able to have children . so why am I talking about it now ?
well , what I want to talk about is not pregnancy but not taking pregnancy and having children seriously . this is not something that should be taken lightly .
one of the amazingly irritating , annoying , and silly examples about this is " Love Is An Illusion " .
only god knows how much I cried and struggled while forcing myself to read this manga .
