If you date someone with DID, does that mean you are in a polyamorous relationship/situation?

It depends on their situation. But in my friends case only one of their personalities is in a relationship and it's monogamous.

Makes sense, in order for the relationship to be poly, it means all the alters (or at least several) have to be part of the relationship too. In this story most of the alters want to be with the same partner and even one felt betrayed/cheated on by another alter.
This topic really puts into perspective everything. Happy to have found a manga willing to delve into such complex themes. 10/10, cant wait for this to be updated.

Yeah, in my friends case though, when one of their alters dated someone, another alter started to like their partner too. They had some trouble because of that so they've broken up now but It seems it's more difficult to be in a poly relationship in their situation, since the alters would all be dating one person and not each other also but their partner would be dating multiple people that way so there are bound to be some issues like jelousy and stuff. And even for the person they're dating. Anyway I think that this story is very interesting even if it's not 100% accurate. Can't wait to find out where it goes
