I really wanted to believe, as unrealistic as it is, that she could be happier if she opened up to him. But reality doesn’t work like that and it’s really a slap on the face. I don’t blame either of them more than the other, I just hope both of them can be happier. I hope she finds someone who will accept her, scars and all, and that she can accept them enough to reveal her true self to them and I hope he becomes happier, even if there’s lingering guilt from not investing more, and that he’s not dating that girl because she looks and acts like her and he’s hung up about it.
