I think what matters here is the memories. The body is only a shell for the soul. As long as we can keep the original memories plus the ability to process and develop new information according to the original preferences and memories, it is the same as being eternal.
what if they clone both of them up again and put in all of their memories to the clones. The new clones will be young after they just completed the cloning process. The new clones will be like a reborn of them both but will still have the old memories of the original body. If this keeps going on and on, isn't it equally as being eternal? They can reborn as young selves again and again with the original memories.
