But how are you so sure? I also want to believe that but now after those chapters I just see that their relationship is full of toxicity and misunderstandings. And I wouldn't be surprised if it happened to be true, like Cole is getting at himself for that bj, to the point he wanted to break up, while Alex actually had a one night stand but he doesn't even think about it much. You can be possessive but still sleep around. But I also remember how it was with Lily.. so I'm very confused now and don't know what to think about it...

I think after everything that has happened, the author is trying to tell us that while Alex might look like he'd cheat, he is the one who is actually loyal. A case of ''don't judge a book by its cover''. Alex has had plenty of oppurtunities and Cole has suspected him all this time, but he seems to have only Cole on his mind. Case in point, when the guy came on to Alex in San Fran and Alex said he already has a boyfriend and he wouldn't cheat, might let the guy cup a feel but that's about it; I think the Mangaka was showing us an example and telling us that Alex just wouldn't do that.
