Most people here probably will disagree with me on this one,

But shipping Estelle and Emiel Kinda doesn't... Seem that okay-----

Don't burn me at the stake yet!

I mean, the man has known Estelle since she was like a little kid..and he already was an adult at that point -- or in his late teens at the least.. so there's quite a gap ... A bit too big...

I do think that there's chemistry. But I'm just not on board, age gaps that big always create a power unbalance

(I've said my peace,, burn me now, if ya want)

i agree! the problem isn’t that the age gap is ‘only’ 6 years. for example, if they met when she was 19 and he was 25, then it would make sense. there’s nothing wrong with age differences at the age of adults. but when she’s a child at 10 and he’s 16, and he basically raises her and protects her as a kid, how could he develop such feelings for her? and if she is 16 and he is 22, that is still pretty weird. the author didn’t need to even add romance, i wanted to read about familial relationships. we barely see the brother and father, and the story is so slow-paced, which is why i’m personally going to drop it.
