To be fair MC only did that cause she knew it would hurt. I mean the girl, attacked her about her mom knowing that her mother was dead.
I guess it depends what you think is worse. Purposefully mocking someone about their dead mother or weight. It's tit for tat in my opinion. Don't start something if you're not prepared to be attacked back.
It's def an eye for an eye situation, but her 1st response being fat/ body shaming speaks volumes about her character. She has already lived 2 lifetimes, there were definitely better more painful ways to retaliate. As for the other person who commented about the protagonists mom, its clear that she's lacking empathy/ sensitivity, like most teens....and she got her due for it.
She hit the protag where it would hurt for anyone who lost a parent (her dead mother) so the protag did the same back (her weight). Talking about her personality would've likely done nothing, and as shown in these "noble" centered stories, not winning the verbal battle loses you face in the eyes of others and would lead to problems. Talking about her weight, which she is obviously sensitive about is the better option in their verbal duel. Ya'll are going above and beyond with this. I'm not small and I wasn't offended by this at all. The girl opened her mouth with something slick and got hit in the chops verbally like she deserved. Pick ya'll battles people, because this wasn't it. Out her trying to give out free passes to people for shitty behavior.
While she didn't got her memories back....
She did that to retaliate tho? While many nobles prefer veiled snarky comment/speech.. I liked her better.
You've got it coming, haven't ya? They want to shame her, so what's wrong with retaliating.
Body shaming? it's okayish degree... in this case.
I mean she just spout something on the degree of 'moyashi (bean sprout)' 'chibikko (midget)' or 'legal loli', nothing to dangerous...
Doesn't children banter-fight normally about that degree? And on another point it's more hurt for children when someone mocked them using their parents
Exactly, she didn't have her past memories. All she had was the memories of her spoiled self. She didn't care what other people thought until she received her past memories and realized that they would actually hurt others. After receiving her past memories she matured in a instant. Basically before her past memories she was a spoiled brat with little to no consideration to other people. Like they all say, memories are what make a person, a person.
She didn't really fat shame her in my opinion because she was just telling her that the outfit and colour doesn't suit someone with her body....if you really think about she's going after how she dressed herself. I'm sorry if I offended anybody but you can't wear certain types of it you're fat because

Ah I agree and disagree. I think I honestly understand how both sides feel. I understand how MC feels since people teased me about my sister's passing and I understand how that feels. I also was chubby and body shamed before, as well. I believe both sides are wrong because honestly those comments hurt. Some people replied never to body shame, but ignored that the other girl insulted her because of her mothers passing. This is just my opinion though
the mc is just bitchy not badass she literally body shamed that girl in the first ch
