This is exactly why I haven't engaged in those conversations. Like you said I'd probably be dead or crying all the time like her too. Here's an idea, maybe they could run away together. Live in the middle of nowhere and just live off of the land.

i didnt really think twice about elzay's behavior cuz if i ever got isekai'ed i would either be dead in a heart beat or also cry all the time like her. (￣∇￣")
