I totally agree with everything u just said. However, from what I've noticed, most ppl in the comments r being the way they are because of how the fl and ml were portrayed.
Most ppl r complaining that the fl was crying too much (despite it being totally reasonable) because she was portrayed to be overly emotional when most stories brush it off. As for the ml, it may have been portrayed that he is psychopathic, but since he was mostly portrayed to actually care about the fl while we see him "suffer" from his obsession, then it's only natural that many ppl will start to care for the fella; the psychopathic aspect side of him was mostly brushed off :/

tbh i feel that aseph isn’t nearly as sinister as he’s “supposed” to be. even in the scenes where the author’s trying to make him out to be evil it’s either A) mainly hurting himself, or B) due to hallucinations. i agree that he’s manipulative and an asshole to ppl besides zay but a lot of his so-called evil side is almost funny to me like when he’s like “ohoho I’m trying to make u sympathize with what was actually an incredibly traumatic childhood. look at these fake scars i’m so bad wahaha”
The hypocrisy in the comments makes me laugh lol. You guys treat Aseph likes he's some baby who needs to be coddled when in reality he's a psychopath who can kill his servants without hesitation, do anything to reach his goal and is manipulating the FL into liking him when his real personality is nowhere near anything he portrays. He can murder a baby and you guys will still think 'poor him, he deserves happiness', you know his real personality just like the FL and your level of delusion is on the same level as her; that he needs to be saved. Honestly I don't know why you're complaining about the FL when in her situation you'll probably do the same things as her, considering your brainless devotion to Aseph. Am I the only here who is clear-headed, both the characters have their flaws and aren't perfect just like Aseph who has a fucked up past which turned him into the person he is today. I understand the way he is and feel sorry for him but at the same time I can't condone the fact that he does shitty things so I won't put him in an alter and worship him but I won't hate on him either. The amount of hate the FL gets shocks me, she's just a normal girl who thinks Aseph is a baby that needs to be coddled (you guys lol) and a lot of her emotions and actions portray a normal girl in her situation -> gets isekai'd -> thinks she's here to make Aseph happy, to be his soulmate -> realises Aseph isn't her soulmate (meaning they can't be together because her crest will make her fall for partner regardless of how she feels and her sickness will kill her) -> is indecisive bc she is stuck between following her heart or her head, to be with Aseph (her whole fucking existence is for him) or to leave him. Morally, Aseph is the person everyone should be hating but it's the FL who gets hate for being normal? Well it just goes to show that no matter what someone does as long as they're likeable then it negates all the bad things they've done.
