what was the point of obscuring the doctors face when the scene was built up to revealing his face? it disappointed me and made the scene less impactful if you ask me - at the very least, i hoped the beard would be visible regardless of the shadow. im not sure if anyone reading this truly would not draw the connection, but i feel sorry for them if they didnt
Yeah honestly if they had just not shown his face at all it would've been more suspenseful. In the novel it's never explicitly said that the old doctor was The Phillip but just that they had the same name so it was kinda like an undercurrent plot.
