Kinda bland

Idk, maybe I’ve just read this trope so much (True Beauty, Makeup Man, Lookism) but this seems kinda shallow. Once you become beautiful, what would you do? I definitely would not use it for vengeance (WHAT IS WITH CHINESE MANGA AND THEIR OBSESSION WITH PETTY VENGENCE?!) to the degree here. And as someone from the bottom, shouldn’t she understand and empathize with others more? MC is ugly on the inside too.

I’ve seen so many Korean manga do this trope better, with more relatability, likeable, and characters you can sympathize with, even if they do ugly things. Here, people are portrayed as black and white. It’s like the characters have no personality besides hating or loving each other blindly.

If you see the flow of the story. I dont believe the author to necessarily see her in a good light. As soon as I read up the part where she starts to use her beauty dangerously like this I knew the author is trying to comment on how as soon as she become beautiful she neglects the weak and become evil. Her obsession with becoming beautiful some at the expense of her humanity and sanity. At this point, the author is writing about an extremely flawed and evil character. I just need to see how she will redeem herself.

idk... even if she turn pretty, people still treated her horribly out of jealousy. if it was me, i wouldnt able to control my anger anymore. peggy must have held back so much anger and sadness that i really dont give a fuck who dies cause they all deserved it. i feel bad for her really, but she should have murdered the evil girl (who push her down the cliff) first and left the rest. maybe change university or smth
