I too appreciated that we got something different... And idk if ur trying to sneak diss the prequel.. (ik ur not but- those were literally the pairing in last story) I think they just went "outside the box" with horse.. cause it was beneficial for the story since Horses are like known to be "up there" on the list- a 'Noble herbivore' if u will

I think it just comes down to what they can use to really sell it "Lion known for being - King of wild/jungle" is used alot.. I too would like to hear/learn about the other traits other animals have but they're probably just playing it safe by using what ppl know of sadly..

I think that's depends on the author who to believe was the king of the jungle like the case of merian c. cooper the creator of king kong he was fascinated by gorillas, it all started when he was given a book from his uncle called Explorations and Adventures in Equatorial Africa, the book chronicled the adventures of Paul Du Chaillu in africa and his various encounters with the natives and wildlife there, cooper became fascinated with the stories involving the gorillas in particular because du chaillu's depiction of a particular gorilla known for its "extraordinary size" that the natives described as "invincible" and the "King of the African Forest" when du chaillu and some natives encountered a gorilla later in the book he described it as a "hellish dream creature" that was "half man, half beast" but even so the media already made and promoted lion as the king of the jungle so.....yeah eventhough there's another deadliest and far more dangerous animal than lion because the media already made lion as the king of the jungle those deadliest animals being unnoticed......sad

It just aches me but... Aren't lions living mostly in savannah? I mean, all the shows with lions I've ever seen happened there. And I can't imagine a lion in a jungle. From wild cats there are kind of tigers and jaguars living in jungles, since they can quite niecly exist on trees. Also in my humble opinion - there is no sexier animal than jaguar or a black panther, they're so lissome, slim and smooth, moving so graciously (☆▽☆)

Yes true but the media made (titled) lion as the king of the jungle despite the habitat they were living (irony) if you don't believe me try googling the king of the jungle animal or who is the king of the jungle and the answer was lion it's all thanks to the media

I haven't really heard it in my language or anywhere in english yet, so I was surprised. If I think about the king of a jungle it'd be mostly monkey. Interesting thing.

Documentaries, tv shows, movies these are the "media" i was talking about idk what media you were talking or think of but those media always associated lion as the king of the jungle that's why lion was known as the king of the jungle, and for me i always think gorillas as the king of the jungle
