you know what, i really didn't think of this perspective when i made my comment so i want to thank you for replying! i recently read a twitter thread that talked abt how easy it is for people to project western standards onto anime/manga and i feel like i did that here unknowingly, i'm glad to have learned something new though.
something that always bothers me in these kind of manga is the idea that bottoming makes it so that you're "still technically a virgin", i guess they Could mean it as he's a virgin when it comes to being a top, but then by that logic the other dude is also a virgin when it comes to being a bottom lol
it's so obvious in these types of things that bottoming is only seen as "the girl's role" and they're saying maki will forever be a virgin because hes a guy. like i know BL is BL and this is an older series and its just how it goes but bottoming isn't a demeaning or shameful thing and fujos need to stop acting like it is
