But You never know, it might be true cause being gay isn't even a thing in japan. Women and all straight men think everyone is heterosexual over there. Plus this manga is old, its been drawn back in the day where homosexuality wasn't allowed.
My friend reads shoujou (hate shoujo don't read it anymore, yaoi all the way(๑•ㅂ•)و✧) and she complains about the cliche stuff how women were always the security in a company (you know those stories about comapny love with the hunky boss (⊙…⊙ )). My friend went abroad to study in japan and guess what? its true. But women actually aim for that job, cause they have that mentality and don't reach beyond, there is no CEO women. They aim for it like being a nurse is one of the best opportunity since they can't aim to be a doctor.
Shoujo, seinen and some yuri were all drawn by women mangaka as well, they know better and plus drawing a manga is hard so they will definitely use their surrounding and environment as inspiration to help with their story . Shouen is drawn by men, where the women are bloody objectified and have massive boobs in every page and wear little clothing even when there are fight scenes and are still pansy over the wimpy main male MC. Yeah there are few underrated ones(like there is in any genre) and have great plot with great characters, but I rather be a women in yaoi, (mostly I'll be a fujoshi through and through and start shipping boy together) Σ(っ°Д °;)っ
That Michiko (or whatever her name is) is so annoying! Damn.. hate her kind the most!! >.<
