Taiga (asshole salary man) was Yuka's fated mate but Yuka and Kaoru are paired...does Yuka have a job?
Now then...once an omega pairs with an alpha there are no takebacksies. The alpha can pair again if they want but that bitten omega is SOL. So Rin could have seduced Kaoru into pairing with him after learning they were fated BUT Kaoru always loved Yuka.
If kaoru did bite Rin, he and Yuka may have gone back to being buddies but then Yuka still could have sex with no one else for the rest of his life...see SOL above.
Taiga found out too late he was Yuka's fated mate so he just said fuggit and bit Rin.
