Co Parenting is a word that doesn't exist in the Harlequin worlds. The don't write realistic or different family life. No they only write mainstream life stories where there is only one Male, One Female, and One family connected through marriage. Cause there is nothing else. (╬￣皿￣)凸(╯°Д °)╯╧╧
These stories give a headache, but i'm still here -.- I think there was literally only 1 harlequin story that didn't piss me off or annoy the shit outta me that i genuinely liked
I like in those storyes like other character are letting stranger that tell them things in home and are letting their loved once go with them just like that.
I see your point and agree, except for one thing. One Male, yes. She is expected to remain faithful, trusting, and loving through thick and thin, abandonment, abuse, marital (and non-marital) rape, and any other torment the "One Male" puts her through. One Family connected through marriage, yes, since the Harlequin World can only have dual parent families, no matter how horrible the relationship of the parents is. One Female? It seems more like an Harlequin male has to have bedded women by the hundreds in order to be truly masculine. Also, during the separations expected to happen in the marriage for the sake of drama, he has to have all sorts of stand in women to kick to the curb when he gets back with his innocent, trusting, and monogamous one love.
Double standard much?
Such a shame them raising the kid while still being divorced isn't an option in these types of stories. ┑(￣Д ￣)┍
