It's actually a theme often used in romantic/fantasy works pertaining to Christianity. At least in this one it tied in with the ultimate theme of "forbidden love" and "paying for your sins." That and you cannot tell me you didn't see that comin' when Koumori kept alluding to someone else when he talked about his mission then there was the flashback with Shirasagi and Koumori going "yeah that does sound like something he'd say."
That guy looked a lil too much like Jesus trapped in the desert for 40 days and 40 nights lol
No I’d didn’t really see it coming till right before the reveal. I mean we didn’t find out Judas’s identity till a little before so I hope that excuses it lol. And yea I get how it ties into the general theme but I’ve never really read romantic Christian stuff so I didn’t recognize it. The general image of manga Judas x manga Jesus is still quite funny tho.
I’m fucking laugh crying so hard holly shit. You’re really not just gonna pull a oh minor detail but Judas totally had the hots for Jesus 20 pages before the end and expect me to just roll with it. This was a great read though, I haven’t laughed that hard.
