I think that must be a combo middle school/high school.
Fu Yi Cheng is just starting middle school and Qiu Yu is a 3rd year in high school. In American school that would be 7th grade and 12th grade.

Alright, so I myself am a little confused about the age gap and therefore I looked through all of the chapters but I can't find where i've written something about Fu Yi Cheng's age in the translation, so now i'm just even more confused haha.
I did find a picture from the author tho, which says that Fu Yi Cheng is 25 years old.
