I came here because I was shocked this is still being updated and found your comment and was relieved to find some humanity. I remember feeling heartbroken when I found out too, it is one of my favourite mangas and anime. They say you should separate the art from the artist but that is not appropriate. Mangago should take this down along with all their other minor peddling manga!

It can be difficult to continue stories like this when you know the truth. But I love this series way to much to drop it just because the author is fucked up.
What the series is vs what the man is...where my love resides is now soley and only with the characters and manga. I will support the series but not the author.
I don't believe it should.be taken off the website's, its already been taken away from so many (mostly in western countries)
And for those who seperate the manga from the author, like me and want to continue the series. Its a hard blow

Exactly this. I mean seriously Viz stopped all releases here in the states. And besides Japan has different laws and rules. For instance when my dad lived in Japan, one of the laws were no crossing legs while sitting in public.

It's up to you to read it here in free sites where no REAL support is offered but not where he can make money to buy new "collection"

There are also the editors, crew of translators and cleaners, the other artists that also help. Its more than just Watsuki making the series. There is an entire team that has to back his sorry ass in order for the series to run.
Without them Watsuki gets nowhere and he was already dropped by many companies, so henis already in a never ending hole. Which...fine..

Supporting the series isnt just about supporting the author. Its also supporting the men and woman who do all the work to bring it to us in the first place.

Supporting the series itself means to support the men and woman you dont see behind the pages as well. And those are the people I would rather have my books signed by.
I understand we all have personal opinions our thoughts about this issue, but to completely ignore the team of editors and translators and other artist that also love the series and work their asses off for the fans that also love Kenshin despite the authors fucked up problem is wrong.

I support those people...not Watsuki....but the ones we dont hear about.
