Yep exactly. Age gaps aren’t that appealing to me anymore (unless it’s maybe a between someone in their twenties and thirties). A high school girl dating a guy in college isn’t too strange but if you think about it’s weird in reverse. Like, the guy is in college is dating a high schooler.
When I was in middle/high school, these age gaps were nothing to me, yet as a college student now, it’s pretty weird. I get that they’re childhood friends, but I think the only time age gaps work is once you’re in college and beyond purely because of life experience and different stages of life.
Anyhow, it was a cute story with good art, but sometimes I can’t get the age gap out of my head. Imagining myself or a friend dating a high schooler at any point without having been dating already is a little off. Buut still cute!
