i think that at first getting the empire was his everything and willing to do anything. However it once he got what he wanted (a nation) he realised that it was all empty if you don't spend it with your loved one. That is why he was willing to give it all up.
im not hating on this novel since every stories has their own twists and turns but I feel like Kiris character is half assed. He gave up on Bella to get a nation then gives up the nation only to get Bella back? I don't understand tje logic. This feels like we're being played by child.
(I don't usually drop a story but, I'm not going to tolerate this any further) see you guys on other novels.
