the "annoying" thing for me! It's more because she think that she know everything because of the book, but it was proved to her that some information are not given in the book, like ain was allergic to peaches.
I'm agree with you about her modern thought not because I don't think that it is not necessary but because she doesn't try to understand the world where she is. And she doesn't understand that person can be killed everyday without problem.
I mean...I like it, but how she is letting her "modern" thoughts affect her life in a whole different world is kinda annoying. I get that it's abuse, but this isn't like the world she came from, she can't just make everything happy-go-lucky. Besides, she can't really think a novel world is the same as the real world, anything can happen in a novel. I would also be scared to see a dead body, but I would think of all the possibilities as to why the Duke would do such things since during this time period everything is about power.
