Thats life dude. U cant expect them to always stick together. They have their own lives and directions. Its not like they are not friends anymore or stop contacting each other. The author said they as long as they r still stick together they will be fine as adults so dont worry.

I don't get that end. That arm that reach out to Kenji wasn't the same color jacket as Yu's. So they weren't together. But they're both smiling. And why does Kenji have flowers? A graduation? They stepped over different thresholds. And then the "How are things lately?" ike they don't even regularly keep in touch let along hang out?! SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN BECAUSE ALL I CAN SEE IS THAT THEY MOVED ON TO SEPARATE LIVES BUT WTF KIND OF ENDING IS THAT???
