Aseph's original plan was to marry Zay and kill her after, but upon meeting her, he was already drawn to her. Why? cus they're actually soulmates. (●'◡'●)ﾉ
In the novel that our character read, Zay is the beloved child of God. Aseph was originally supposed to be the child fated to die young, but Zay used her powers to save him, so she ends up dying in his place and ceases to exist in that timeline in the novel. So Aseph loses his fated partner whos supposed to be Zay. His attraction then transfers to her twin sister Elisha even tho she isnt his fated partner, but she holds a connection to Zay.. ╮(￣▽￣)╭
And Aseph's seal/soulmark is apparently with Zay, that's why he doesn't have one. His soul was devoured by the devil, hence why he does not have a soulmark. (not sure if this one is real but its possible)
