Elzay has ptsd, because it's exactly what happened to Aseph in the book she had read. Aseph fell in love with the original heroine but then the heroine got her soulmate mark with another man. Aseph was hurt so badly that he became the evil villain. Elzay is afraid that in this time, she'll be the one turning Aseph into a Villain just like in the book... So I can accept this flaw in Elzay's character. It actually makes sense.
I understand that shes scared but she should be more honest with him. She is hideng too much and hideing her emotions that shes ready hurting Aseph and that might also turn him into villian. She should be more open and honest, afterall keeping secrets from one another wont do any good to both of them. It does go on my nerves since itd be very easy for them to solve things if she was more emotipnally HONEST.
