I disagree and I've already said why...we have the pov of readers but the characters in the story don't have 4th wall advantage. Nk initiated sex with who he thought was inhun and he cried tears of happiness..he did not feel he was raped. (It was a crucial part of the plot that NK conveyed this love during sex that captivated Yoon.)
Only we knew it was Yoon until Yoon dropped that truth bomb on Nk that Inhun didn't hold him.
It's okay if you disagree. Opinions can be diverse.
Of course Nakyum did not feel like he was raped, that almost never happens in this type of stories. I'm not trying to make a big deal out of this, as you said, we all have different opinions, but I'm concerned about people who don't know how to identify rape when they see it (or in this case, when they read it). Just saying.
I am not trying to prove anything..my first response to the thread was that I thought the outright noncon sex was more disturbing than Nks first time.. I do not have a ship and I am not here to win anyone over. It's not that deep, but it is annoying to be misunderstood. So here is a scenario... A 17 yo falls in love with a 22 yo. They have consensual sex initiated by the teenager.
Some may say, that 17 yo was raped. Statutory rape, and they would be right from their pov (and the law pov). The 17 yo's parents could prosecute the 22 yo if they knew about it. But the 17 yo is in love and happy with no regrets about the experience no need for therapy bc there was no trauma from their pov.
If NK woke up next to Inhun the next morning, he'd have been cool with the loss of his virginity with the one he loved and he'd want to do it again.. It could still be argued as rape with Inhun bc NK was drunk, BUT that is not how NK would see it.
The bj and two 'real' rapes were not consensual on any level from both NKs pov and the reader's but that first time was fine for NK until he learned his partner was Yoon and by that point he was crying bc he didn't give himself to the one he wanted to not bc of rape trauma imho.
Ok, but whether it traumatized him or not, it was still rape and he wasn’t happy, for all reasons, after he learned he was deceived, anyways. If this were modern life, SH would definitely serve jail time for this. Idek how else to tell you this, it’s very clear, but ig you've just stuck to your narration, so there’s no point.
NK was raped and he feels like he was raped. He never used the word "rape" because he might not even understand the concept but he said that if he had known that SH was the one having sex with he would never have done it. He felt deceived and betrayed when SH revealed that he was the one who fucked him. That's because he had consented to sex with Inhun only. Seungho raped him by tricking him into thinking he was somebody else.
Weither people consider their first embrace rape or not, I too felt like the second and third time (blowjob) was the most disturbing and violent ones. When I was reading the chapters, their first time felt (to me) more like a big mistake... just like when you go out clubbing and end up with some random guy you won't even remember the day after if he leaves right after sex. You know, the type of one night stand that makes you feel like shit and even sometimes cry and throw up. Nakyum knew he was consenting to sex. SH did take advantage of the situation. He was a total dishonest jerk and asshole. But their second and third time, man... I could barely go through the panels. I am not fond of violence or creepiness in Yaoi or manga in general so it really was shocking for me to see how NK was treated by SH there. When he snapped his face on the floor and then proceeded to rape him right away, I was so disappointed by the plot then. The first panel of NK laying on the floor, bleeding and covered with his own shirt, I can still picture it and I won't be able to go through this chapter again without feeling sick! I am quite relieved the plot is moving forward in a positive note. I do ship SH and NK together now.
I mean I think we all agree that his first time wasn’t as “bad” as the other ones. What’s disconcerting to me is when people refuse to see it as rape. Regardless, NK clearly regretted the experience, which is what OP was suggesting and therefore felt bad for him. Cuz I’m sure if NK had told SH he loved it afterwards while being sober, people wouldn’t mind the scene as much. But it’s the fact that he didn’t, because he recognizes he was taken advantage of and violated.
I really like this, though the fact that uke's first time was rape bothers me a lot.
