Don't worry, If I remember correctly he will come back in the next chapter or in the one that follows it (so in 1 or 2 chapters).
And he's the ML so don't worry, he will be part of the plot.

Am I the only one concerned about Nine aka Brother Thorton? I hope he comes back and actually assists with the plot.
