I dunno. I think individuals are individuals. I don't see myself ever "settling down", and I definitely don't see traveling as "stupid shit". Age really is just a number once you're an adult.
Not really,because of shared experiences you have with people your age and shared expectations. An 18 year gap is too much.
I don't think any of those are "stupid shit" no matter the age. What's going to be the issue is if you're going to meet on the same page. Uncle Pan did have a point, simply that their ages are far apart and Qiu's experiences are nothing compared to Uncle Pan's as an adult. There will always be an 18 year gap between them. If none of them are willing to compromise in their differences, then it's not going to work. But if they're willing to meet halfway, then I don't see why it can't.
when you're 18 and travel you usually go somewhere and check out the clubs and return to the hotel at 7AM still drunk, go shopping, getting some adrenaline kick as in skydiving or something. that's what I meant with travelling and I really don't see the uncle doing anything like that. if they were more like each other then maybe but they also don't seem to fit

the more time passes the more stupid shit read head wants to do (as in travelling, partying, just doing dumb shit you do in your 20s) and uncle will slowly settle down
