My guess is, maybe he recover his past memories (the same way Lamia keeps having dreams about past event) and only acts nice when Lamia is present.

But I thought this reversed magic thing wasn't successful and few hundred years (a really long time) have passed.
The current timeline is way in the future where both of them are reborn.
Maybe like you said, 2nd prince still have the memory. But why didn't he recognise Lamia the first time he met her at the funeral?

is good.. but the story is dragging. Am I the only one who feels confused with the flashback in chapter 3.
And I don't understand why the 2nd prince character can change so easily like he has two personalities.
