it also doesn't make sense that Geumhwa was so afraid of Seungjae, was assaulted by him, and then suddenly was thinking he was in love with him and missed him? How can he just suddenly forget that fear? I really wish the ending was fleshed out more!

I think it was intentional that it was out of character? Coz he knew he needed to let Geumhwa go once he was head of the family, so him being forceful in a way makes it easier for Geumhwa to forget him. But alas they were already in love ╮(￣▽￣)╭
I don't know why but it seemed really out of character for Seungjae to force himself on him like that, especially after being there to see the pain his ex caused him. Him and the ex aren't much different in this regard if they're willing to force themselves on someone they love just because they're angry - and not even apologise for it either... And as much as I'm glad the ex let him go eventually, he really shouldn't be getting into any more relationships until he's had serious therapy. He's unhinged.
Aside from that the art was amazing and I really adored the mc as a character. I hope he's going to live a life free from pain now
