Does anyone know if the clothes are historically accurate? I’m just wondering what Material these see-through black hats could be?
should be historically accurate. i googled "historical korean hat", and got "gat". is that what youre talking about?
They’re very accurate. The hats are called huengnip, the golden piece at the top of the hat Is called jeongja and the decorative beads on a string is juyeong. The base is a gat, and the material you’re thinking about is just a fine silk.
i wouldnt be too surprised if they really are see-through. see-through mosquito nets and other mesh work have been around forever so,,
