He thinks that because it's always happened. Like Nora's father right now, he cares more about the prince than his own son. No one bothered to let him know he was wrong because they were busy sucking up to him. That's my opinion though.

I feel bad for Nora. That’s literally a kids worst fear, to not be loved by their parents!! And I don’t really like the crown prince. At first I though that he was nice, and kind. That was until I realized that he’s that type of kid who thinks that everyone likes him.
