I had hopes for Chang in the first few chapters. I was hoping that he might just have feelings at first like familial love that i think later on turn into a romantic one, for Ed and was afraid to lose again a family or someone dear to him thus he resorted to shackle Ed by the debts in hopes of keeping him by his side. They have few arguments and beat each other up for the past years since their relationship is not defined and they started with the wrong foot. Add to the fact that they did not opened up with each other makes their relationship more unstable. Chang might be stone cold, yes but he still somewhat helped Ed. He never let him do any dirty work and have him do jobs related to his business that are not dangerous. But with this chapter?
