technically since they have no rights on the manga (like because they bought the rights for a country or because they drew it) anyone can scanlate this manga which is why they actually have no rights to get mad or to call out the translator ┑(￣Д ￣)┍
I personally it’s more a matter of
*if we start this project and someone finish before us, all our efforts were wasted*
Also stuff like *we started this and we want to finish it*
Then keep in mind that there are rude people everywhere so it doesn’t take much to have miscommunications leads to confrontation.
I don't understand how scanlation group drama works, but why can't two groups work on it at the same time? Is there some kind of unwritten rule that says two people can't work on it? If the original group isn't going to update it anymore, then why can't we at least get the scans from the other translator? It'd be better than nothing tbh :(
