That's why in this chapter and laste, he shoot the MC because in his head it was the demon assuming his friend's form when it was the real one :V
in the end of this chapter (when he was near death) he thought it would maybe his only chance to finally take the MC (????)

The police officer who shot our MC was hallucinating due to the fact the white demon dude was continuesly using his powers to force the fufe to have sex with him if you see the raws you can see it more afterwards and such. The white demon is already apart of the police dude and is possessing him and feeding off of his life source.
