Can you share the only one good chinese webtoon you've read? It might help me change my perspective abt chinese authors

Mo Dao Zu Shi is one. So is Reverend Insanity/Master of Gu. The second one is also in fact my favorite Webnovel, though it’s not for everyone, since the protagonist is a villain. (But he’s actually not brain dead like most Chinese male mcs are)

I agree though, most Chinese webtoons are absolute trash, specifically the romance ones, Ones from other genres are usually slightly better. But you can occasionally encounter a good one.

You should also read death field. It’s my favorite manhua ever. Lan chi is also good. They’re both well written and paced. We get so many trash manhuas but there’s some good ones they don’t just get as much popularity as the others.

Haha the one I was referencing was "Arranged marriage with my beloved wife" now it is a chinese webtoon romance manga. So there is the stereotypical antagonist who is evil for no reason, and the mc is saved by the male lead constantly. But she isn't as ditzy as most and the male lead is handicapped so it makes it more interesting, I think I went overboard saying good though sorry haha

Well, there's also a couple of shonen ai's Like Heaven Official's Blessing and Mo Dao Zu Shi. I'm reading for the plot and a bit of the romance, but the art for HOB is beautiful too.
