After reading the light novel up to the latest, I changed my opinion of Ferdinand, the head priest. He's actually nice as a potential partner for Myne. He's also powerful and kind as a noble. And he's much younger than you guys prob. thought. He's currently 20, I think.

If he does start falling for her while still so young at that very least it'd be nice if he felt conflicted but I really doubt that since beforehand they clarified that yes children can be a lover to a much older guy, since her friend around the same age made a contract with a noble much older than she is to be his wife. well he doesn't start falling for her right away, he is just fond of her... It will take 6 yrs (slowly) from the current timeline till he realize his feelings, the same goes to Maine as well when they separated from each other (that is 1 1/2 yrs before she become 15 - adult in their world)
