If this goes down the same route as Princess Bibliophile (which fuck that ML too. How about having a healthy convo instead of emotionally manipulating your girl so bad that she turns insecure, questions her place, and starts to cry, you pissant. Don't give me that, "You're finally aware of me." bullshit.) And it turns out that in the original novel, he had just gotten with the heroine to uncover a conspiracy, and it was all just a ~misunderstanding~ because he was trying catch the rats in hiding (the temple, a cult, another country framing the temple, whatever), and the MC was kept from it. I'm calling bullshit now.

She was a loyal, intelligent woman, who was greatly in love with him. Maybe, and I'm repeating this again, MLs take point, he could have had a healthly convo with her. He could have let her know that there was something going on, so that she wouldn't unwittingly get in the way of his plans. Maybe he didn't share her feelings, maybe he didn't find her trustworthy. There was a whole year between their marriage and the heroine's appearance; that's plenty of time to sort those type of issues out. But nah, he let it linger, and he broke a Queen's heart.

Keep the shitty ML, but give me a shitty ML also. With a good plot/ story, I'd fucking clap watching two pissants going at each other like a trainwreck and finding love.

Ya know what, you were right to not follow Abandoned Empress so closely like I did. Because for fucks sake, the moment people found out about Ruvel's (the ML) story in the first TL, the people just went batshit and said "poor guy boohoo here be the ML", and are actually shipping a PTSD FL to him. It's mind boggling.

Everytime that blue haired dog shit appeared on screen and was all pouty and broody and woe is me, I just ugh. My god. I wasn't kidding about the vein near my temple throbbing. And knowing what he had did, and how she was effected, and then learning the fact that he was still going to be ML, I couldn't read any more. No reason is good enough in my book.

You're right. It is batshit. How about we have a story where getting together isn't the answer to all life's problems. Because shit is still shit even if you pick it up, place it on a throne, and decorate it with a sad background story.

Part 1: FL reincarnated. Her ML is her previous life's abuser. But, he's different this life. All his qualities are the same, but he hasn't made her lick his shoe yet. And he's so sad. She's never seen this side of him. It must be her fault for misinterpreting him and not grasping the full picture before. She was wrong. He said he would treat her as his world and never hurt her. It must be love.

Part 2: ML's POV. He's in a relationship with the love of his life. He did something shameful once however, he got angry and wouldn't forgive her until she licked his shoe. And it's been different ever since. She never looks him in the eye anymore. When she does, it's like she's looking through him. He started feeling distant. Every mistake he made was not forgotten by her. She used it like artillery. Every battle was his fault, every mistake he's made was a sin that was repeatedly brought up. He feels ashamed. He feels hurt. He's now a shadow of himself. They separate. He moves on. He grows as a person. He meets someone new. He's treasures his moments. He learns to be a better person.

Part 3: They separated. She could no longer look at him and not see the man that he never was. The man that she thought he never would be. Ever argument was like a possibility of her past life starting again. She had changed. Hr had changed. But were they truly different from who they might had been. She didn't know. She grew paranoid. She grew bitter. She wanted to hurt him. She succeeded. She wasn't happy about it. This wasn't the man from her past life. She didn't know who he was anymore. She moved on. Her anchor was gone. She was afloat once more. Maybe could continue past ambitions. Reliving her past joys made her realize she had changed after all. But it wasn't for the better. She had grown bitter. She had grown cruel. Her heart was hard. She realized, and she grew as a person. She meets someone new. It's difficult to trust. But, she different. She's stronger. She treasures her moments.

Part 4: Years later. They meet again. They're both different. They're both happier. They realized they hadn't meant to be, but that's okay.

If the FL was just as much as a piece of shit then i feel like we could have some freaking fun. Like i slept with your dad but because he's the emperor and hee told you to drop it there's nothing you can do. Or I'd slowly turn all the nobles against you. Like i want a piece of shit FL.
