I don't know if I am correct but I think that everyone including the mc himself thought that his amnesia was due to an accident bc so far that's all he remembers but his memories are gone before the accident happen so the only actual reasonable explanation is he has a certain amnesia that makes him forget things past a certain time and for some reason most if it is that happy memories. Now this makes me wonder if his friend is being a lil shit not bc he wants to but bc that might be the only way the mc will remember him every time he forgets
