Yeah sometimes it's uncomfortable and ruins the mood. You just have to pay attention to signs and what your partner is saying. Only if your unsure they want to go all the way ( like if their hesitant or nervous) ask them politely.
I'm being serious now. People with religion hangups, aged people, disabled. If you try to get the words of the verbal consent out of them, they'r going to have to say no, even if they wanted the sex and would have gone through with it if they hadn't been cornered like that. It's selfish to think that you can make one rule fit everyone.
