But now you have something to look forward to.
Aw man, I LOVED Naruto, don't get me wrong - I even have a Naruto Maki Tattoo, fun fact! It just got really un-Ninjary and too far-fetched for me, when it started out really satisfyingly simple and linear, I think the story just tried to get too big with the whole immortal, ghosty reincarnation stuff. (And I can only watch it until ep 479, I cannot BARE to watch anymore than that, fucking Sakura and Sasuke - I mean - the fuck!)
(╬ ̄皿 ̄)凸 Sorry - TRIGGERED!
- But One Piece, One Piece! Man, It's in a league of it's own (▰˘◡˘▰) I'd whole heartedly, completely recommend it. I watched it after Naruto too and was a bit cynical about how much I'd like it. But! It's focus is more on comedy, still with amazing tear-jerking moments, there are no love stories! (Which I love) Oh and waaaaaay less fillers!
٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶ it's got a 15/10 from me lol
It's because of Naruto that I found my way here. When I couldn't get enough of watching the anime I started looking up fanfic, which is where I discovered Yaoi in the form of KakaIru *big dreamy sigh*. Eventually my search for KakaIru/doujinshi lead me to Mangago and Finder!
And get this, I haven't seen past episode 479 either. I couldn't stand the idea of no more episodes so I stopped watching. I do know generally what happens after but that's why I've been binge watching from the beginning for several months. I plan to finally watch the rest of 'em, fillers and all.
I took a few years break from Naruto and waited for it to finish before finishing it myself, so I got spoiled on the introduction of Kaguya and her entourage.
When I watched it, I was like meh... it felt random how it happened. I don't remember if it was forshadowed or not.
My worst gripe with it was Madara... how could he do my boy Madara like that! (;´༎Д༎`)
About the ships, I supported Naruto and Sakura and Sasuke with anyone who would take him(while secretly rooting for NaurtoXSasuke). ...But didn't really care that much, I just think the mangaka took the easy route with the official ships.
Oda has supposedly planned the ending of OP from the beginning, so I think it will be a very satisfying conclusion (when it ends in the next 10 years).
OP is definitely worth the time investment. The best thing about it is the vast world building, mysteries and great characters.
Lots of people are interested in One Piece but 900+ episodes are scary when you're starting. The worst thing about OP is the super slow pace of the anime aka It's only good to be watched in bulk, not week by week.
So quarantine is a perfect time to start watching. :D
You could always read the manga instead. I personally read the manga. The art isn't as clean as VF art, but it's amazing in its own way. Oda is very very talented in that regard.
Speaking of the manga, it's on a break because Shounen Jump offices had a case of Covid-19 so they had to shut the offices. ...Oh and Luffy's VA has just announced that recording episodes of the anime has been put on hold due to the pandemic.
Hey China. Take this >>> (°ロ°)
I agree, the Kaguya entry was a little rushed. When put altogether the story made sense, it just needed more clues earlier in the story for a lead in. As for Sasuke and Sakura, I can't think of anyone else in the village who would have him after all he did( in canon at least) unless they kept him single. But since they needed a next generation he had to hook up with somebody.
And if One Piece ends up being a neverending story it may be a good one for me to latch onto. By the time I catch up to the present it may have reached a near conclusion.
Jap. gov. has put in a state of emergency this pat week end asking people to do the safe distance ,stay at home,
I think it is an left up to each company to decide how they will handle things. there is no one article. Like some game companies are delaying already I will keep looking on amine sites for news ect. I mean this is an unual event. they don't shut down even for the quake so......bboy put out it;s 4/6 issue so..... and the gov. let it up to each company to decide what to do. also some of them can do digital. I use NHK News from Jap for my source they are online and in Eng. I frankly use them a lot.
He could have had Karin ¯_(ツ)_/¯ It would have been quite cool, mixing Uzumaki and Uchiha blood.
The One Piece manga will most likely conclude in the next 10 years, according to words of Oda himself. But they are constantly releasing anime specials and movies. There are even official spin-off manga. So even when the manga is long finished, there will be more content to come!
Japan is only in a state of emergency. The government doesn't have the power to enforce a lockdown. Unlike the examples in Europe and USA where people are breaking the enforced rules of staying home, the idea is that Japs are well disciplined anyway so they'll do the right thing.
Each company acts at their own discretion, and Toei Animation who make One Piece anime have went with the decision to halt production. It's a good thing imo because alot of the VA's are over-60, and they need to be protected... ಠ_ಥ
Look... I'm not saying its a bad thing to blow things in China up... but if you need cash for the plane ticket, drop me your paypal email somewhere and I could wire some cash over to cover some of your costs ʘ‿ʘ
