I guess when you mention that their lives are in danger it makes sense for her to not act so childish. But otherwise, their relationship would not last, or she’ll end up feeling insecure about herself if she doesn’t confirm that he truly loves her. I mean that maid was literally ready to kill the mc to be the ml. So the mc does need to prove that she is important, else she would end up being trampled in the long run.
but the thing is she is confident that he loves her... in no way does she seem insecure. she was 100% confident that he would come after her when she left, she's making all these plans about the wedding when he hasn't proposed yet, honestly she's very well aware of elias's feelings for her and that the situation they were in is the only reason he hasn't actually done anything about it. if after everything was over and he still didn't make a move, there's so many better ways to be reassured of his feelings like ..? asking him?? talking about it without forcing him into a situation where he feels he has to pour out his heart in public just to satisfy her need that EVERYONE knows he loves her? i understand insecurity, but the way she's acting is just selfish and doesn't acknowledge elias at all and frankly manipulating him like this instead of just communicating with him just shows her immaturity
this is frankly ridiculous at this point... she finds him worried out of his mind and follows her out here literally as soon as he solved the whole thing, so frantic that he didnt even read the letter she left him, looks clearly distraught and all she can think about is how she's going to be the talk of the town after he proposes? she "tests" him again by using her brother?? like the level of emotional manipulation here just keeps getting worse... did she want him to propose while both of their lives were in danger or what? like at this point it doesnt even feel like she loves him, she's just using his name so everyone is like Oh Wow Duke Elias Must Be So In Love With You Wow <3
