I would like to think it isn't complete manipulation. Like, the other two pretty much love her and they're not her guardians. I'm thinking maybe the goddess took the guy's emotion of "children are precious in this world" and just multiplied it. Made it more like "children are precious. But she is even more precious" ┑(￣Д ￣)┍
I think the goddess only made Shou and Falco meet and than he took her with him only because he pitied her cause she looked like him when he was a child. Sorry for the bad grammar, I’m not English （/TДT)/
Part of me wonders if he also feels compelled because of Shou's wish. Like, did the goddess put a little voice in the back of his head saying "she's important, protect her"(⊙…⊙ )
