It was said that in the original novel Ijekiel and Jeanette were married. But how can that be? Like they are cousins?! Because their mothers are sisters! Like aren’t the people aware of genetic diseases, or notice that offsprings of marriages between close blood relatives have genetic illnesses.(⊙…⊙ )

    Theyre not related. The person jenette is relate to is that lady who falsely implicated athy- rosalia i think her name was. Alphius isnt related to her.

    they're not related, but if we're talking about old times just look at the habsburgs - they're full of inbreeding and it was pretty common among royals. the story doesn't take place in this setting however, if anything it's probably just the customs that parallel ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
