The way keita said it could mean everthing. There was a note saying that
exactly, so he should have asked what he meant. if it could mean anything, I feel like his character would have said "do you mean me?" or something to that effect

also, I’ma be the one to say this: the misunderstanding was unnecessary. mitsuomi is not dumb, he should’ve clearly known what keita meant when he said “I like you.” the way he passed it off instead of asking for clarity was out of character imo but I still love the story a lot ok
