Why is it weird to see homosexual couples express themselves? It's really the same thing as straight couples. And it's really sad that other countries don't allow homosexual expressions (like Russia). Another thing worth mentioning is that while Kim Kardashian is having her NEXT wedding, homosexuals are still struggling to fight for the same right, whereas the Kardashian hoe barely lasts a "fateful" and "pure" marriage to build a bonding relationship. I'm not saying that your opinions don't matter, just that it does take time to accept certain matters. Don't worry too much about it, if you're reading yaoi, then it's obvious you accept homosexuality. And how you're "uncomfortable seeing them in real life", I feel that way with all couples' expressions (like making out and stuff), whether homosexual or straight, sometimes it's just annoying lol.

may be it is the display of affection that bothers you, do you feel the same way when you see hetro couple? PPL are not comfortable seeing open displays of affection btwn others.

I love yaoi, but hate gay porn. Yes, there's a difference between real world and manga world. BTW, I feel equally disgusted with people, gay or straight, taking out their sex life from the bedrooms to the "streets." There's a popular news website in my country, where on a daily basis you can read along the main news about an orals, bedroom positions or on the pros of betrays of partners. As I said, disgusting!

gay-porn isnt the same as manga, I dont like all kind of porn but it doesnt disgust me that much, I just dont like it! But I'm guessing it's because real life gay couples aren't as hot and handsome as yaoi manga characters so that's why it also feels different. I mean, most of the gay couples are slightly feminine in gestures and features as opposed to the cool and masculine image from yaoi characters. Right? That's what I think.

I forgot to add straight, bi or gay. And my opinion stands, keep your sexual life private. Just because your straight doesn't give you an excuse to make out on a bench and the same goes if you're bi/gay. Show some respect.

When i see 2 friends(boys) are together, i will ship them but i can never ever imagine them having sex...unless they look like a celebrity...I find hetero slightly disgusting and when i see a couple fight i'm like....HAHAHA in my mind but to respect them i don't laugh loudly....i think yours is because on how society treats gay like shit and you subconsciously will act the same way in order to be normal. Real life porn, whether gay or straight, makes me uncomfortable. But then so does real life violence. I can read about fictionalized sex/violence, but in real life, it's well, real people are involved. But in real life public displays of affection should be kept on the mild side, as that is something that should be personal. It just means that you are not a voyeur.

Now I feel like my perverseness is another level higher than you guys. -.- I'm in love with yaoi and I do revere the love between two guys, not disgusting nor weird. I mean love don't take any form but it's really kind of uncomfy to see ANY couple making out in public. I live in a pretty conservative country (we don't have divorce here, imagine how uptight and how we value the teachings of the Church) so I guess it goes with my opinion on how I feel seeing people display their affection for each other. Simple kisses and hugs are very acceptable but French/deep kiss isn't just the norm. Some will just shrug their shoulders on those scenes but people should also be aware of their surroundings and not all about their feelings. But then again I'm a pervert and I watch gay porn sometimes when I feel like it.
Manga is entirely different from the real world, maybe because we know it's only a product of imagination and as much as graphical a scene may look, it's still 'unreal'.
