eh, it's pretty normal here though. Even 12 year olds can make some pretty decent food here.(●￣(ｴ)￣●)
I imagine there are a few that can but not the majority here the states. Not in my experience. Like that meal that was shown was a full course meal!

Some high schools and academy's do but many do not. Can also depending on what area/district in which you live. It can also be called different things and requirements will change, could be called home economics, family/consumer science, independent living ect but those will just teach you the super basics or are just plain health classes. its really just treated like an elective. So when it showed the two boys at 14 yrs old and when Kei came home from work they had a bunch of food ready, who here believes that 14 yr old boys can cook? LIES I TELL YOU! lol
