Honestly just skip the best friend arc.
Here’s the basic spoilers of that arc. The uke mc finds out that the best friend is the cause of all his trauma and pain. The uke meets his ex-girlfriend who he thought was the original cause and realized the best friend bribed her.

I wish I could, but I was in too deep and just wanted to see the yandere suffer. I just powered through it and stopped when the main couple was happy again. I was a little disappointed with how easy he got off. I wanted to see him burn like it was the witch trials! I want him exposed to the whole world in a chapter from his perspective as we witness a yandere mental breakdown after realizing his senpai will never notice him! At least have the uke say he hates the yandere to his face! The uke did get a fraction of his backbone back, but he still came off 15% too much like an apologist in my eyes.

I'm only at chapter 42 and I hate this rival enough to potentially drop this story. How long am I going to have to suffer because of this lower-than-scum until the uke OPENS HIS F-ING EYES, realizes the truth, and escapes that failure of existence!?! This story had so much potential before HE showed up!!!
