He comes from a world where most population is dead. Any and all survivors didn't have the luxury to stick to beliefs or moral opinions for that matter. The world is ending, demons are on a rampage and humans don't stand a chance, make yourself usefull or die. That's our Kail.

Usually in these kinds of manga you'll see the MC show mercy for the bad guy to get away and attack again at a later date. Or at least not kill the bad guy. Not Kail. His friend got kidnapped and the world is better off without Cody considering is ideas and methods. So Kail doesn't hesitate to kill him right away. No pointless talking. No worrying about what might happen to the other extremists. This guy needs to die, so he dies. End of story. xD
